OzHarvest
Zero Waste SA has provided a grant to OzHarvest, the organisation that collects excess food and delivers it free of charge to community organisations that feed disadvantaged men, women and children. The $60,000 grant will help with the set up costs of providing an on-call, pick-up service from Adelaide’s restaurants and commercial kitchens. Food collected ranges from fresh fruit and vegetables to prepared meals, salads, pies and desserts and is delivered on the same day to recipient charities. Foodbank
Foodbank is a non-denominational, charitable organisation which sources donated and surplus food from the food and grocery industry to distribute to welfare and community agencies that provide food assistance to people in need.
