Marleston Campus targets eco performance
The Assets and Procurement Unit at TAFE SA's Adelaide South Institute operates on the principle that everything has a value.
It's a mindset that has prompted the training organisation to join Zero Waste SA’s Resource Efficiency Assistance Program (REAP) to build on the success of wide-ranging sustainability initiatives. An outcome of the partnership is the introduction of a pilot recycling initiative at TAFE SA’s Marleston Campus after a REAP-funded review found significant improvements were possible through a more planned approach to waste management.
Improvements in eco performance is now a priority of TAFE SA's Adelaide South Institute – an attitude that helped divert nearly 290 tonnes from landfill when two floors of the Adelaide campus was refurbished last year.
