about zero waste Zero waste is a way of reducing our ecological footprint through resource conservation; and, reducing significantly our greenhouse gas emissions by reducing consumption, re-using materials, and recycling products. Zero waste is a world wide movement. Resource management is a good place to begin, because it begins in the home. By choosing to bring fewer products into our homes, and by finding more uses and reuses for the things we have each taken possession of, we can substantially reduce the waste our households create. It's not just a question of filling the recycling bin and stowing it safely on the kerb every fortnight. It's also a matter of buying less, sharing more, reusing and reviving.
