Community and Industry Attitudes (2008)
Zero Waste SA commissioned McGregor Tan Research to measure householder attitudes and behaviours in relation to recycling and waste reduction. These findings are compared, where available, with benchmarks set in the Working with the Community (2005)survey. In 2008 a survey of attitudes and behaviours was also conducted amongst South Australian businesses in Adelaide metropolitan and regional South Australia.

Illegal Waste Dumping (2007)
In 2007 residents and business across 6 Adelaide local government areas were surveyed to provide insights on the extent to which they understand the issue of illegal dumping, determine the knowledge, awareness and use of various council waste collection, disposal and recycling services and identify the preferred method of communication about waste disposal services. The survey provides valuable insights into reasons why people illegally dump rubbish and how best to provide information regarding waste and recycling services to businesses and residents.

A detailed breakdown of the number of respondents interviewed by local government area is summarised in the table below. Most metropolitan council areas had more than 30 respondents (some more than 100), but reliability of such analysis will be better for some councils than others, because of their larger sample sizes.
