Regional Implementation Program
The 2008 call for funding applications through the Regional Implementation Program is now open. Applications are due to regional coordinators (see application form) no later than Friday 5th September 2008.
It is anticipated that successful applicants from the 2008 round of funding will be advised in December 2008, with projects to commence from July 2009.
The Zero Waste SA Regional Implementation Program has been developed to assist regions to implement waste reforms in a progressive manner. Through this program, Zero Waste SA provides financial support to encourage the enhanced recovery of materials from country areas.
Rather than receiving funding applications directly, Zero Waste SA now requires all applications to be assessed and prioritised at the regional level. High priority projects will then be incorporated into Regional Implementation Plans prior to being forwarded to Zero Waste SA for consideration.
The grants will pay up to 50% of eligible project costs; applicants must be able to demonstrate that they can at least match grant funding including from other sources. For more information read the Guidelines for Applicants and Application form.
